Chicano Secret Service is a comedy performance group from Los Angeles founded in Berkeley, California, Aztlan on August 29, 1988, the anniversary of the most violent day of the Chicano Movement. The CSS specializes in up to the date mulit-media political satire, fusing Chicano teatro techniques, artistic backdrops and projected film. Susan Carrasco (Cal Lutheran graduate student), Tomas Carrasco (UCSanta Barbara Ph.D. candidate) and Elias Serna (UCLA film school graduate) compose this group and also teach at universities. "They're like a 'Saturday Night Live' without white people." They have performed recently at UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, Texas Tech University, Leuzinger High School, Roosevelt High School, the Ford Amphitheatre, CSU Dominguez Hills and Michigan State University.
