Once every few decades the stars and planets align to create, for a brief moment a solar eclipse. On March 6, 1988 the moon and sun danced to the rhythmic cry of Brandyn “H*Wood†Bordeaux when he emerged into the world. Bringing along with him a ballpoint pen and wide-ruled notebook from his mother’s womb he was destined to create breathtaking music from the time of his conception. Raised in Aurora (A*CO), Colorado by his father and mother an incredible vocalist. Brandyn H*Wood Bordeaux, his younger brother Collin, and little sister Danae were introduced to music before they could even walk. At the age of 8 he taught his brother how to recite the lyrics to their favorite Christian rap song “Rap and Read.†Later he divided the song into sections between the two and they practiced every day performing for action figures, dolls, and stuffed animals. Within three months the G.I. Joes, Barbie’s, and Teddy Bears transformed into men, women, and children in churches and out reaches all over Colorado.
A divorce, several address changes, and a brief stint as a College student athlete(Football) later he returned to his home town determined with one goal and purpose; to change the generational curse from dealers, prisoners, pimps, and fatherless homes in his family to living by the true definition of their last name “Royalty.†Teaming up with his brother, and cousin they formed the “Deaux Boyzâ€. It all began with internet beats, performing at house parties, and handing out 7 song discs to every open hand. Things seemed rough living from house to house, and funds being very limited for H*Wood. However, he escaped the pressures of his stress filled life by writing, recording, and eventually finishing his first solo project “The H*Wood Movement.â€
His cocky, melodic flow and catchy hooks over techno synths and hip-hop drums emerged him as a crowd favorite and premier talent in Denver. It also opened doors for him to rack up numerous live performances and ultimately share the stage with major artists Devin the Dude, E-40, Chamillionaire, and Busta Rhymes. However gaining notoriety in Colorado simply wasn’t enough for him. H*Wood began setting his sights on moving to the west coast to take his music to next level. As the saying goes “If you can make in LA you can make it anywhere.†He states and continues. “I felt that in order for me to truly be successful in the music industry, I had to head west and carry Colorado with me.â€
Less than 6 months later in California H*Wood already has performed at Qualcomm Stadium, opened for Paul Wall, and written several songs for very talented teen pop stars. With his unique sound H*Wood has pulled influences from the Pop, Techno, and Hip-Hop genres to create high energy mid to up-tempo dance music.
Along with being marketable as a crossover artist from all three genres H*Wood’s image, stage presence and business savvy separates him from the large and redundant pack of inspiring artists in more ways than one. Currently recording his first EP "Club H*Woodâ€, produced by Damon Cisneros his debut single “Barbie Doll†has already gathered a buzz from his fans and music industry professionals.
With H*Wood's unstoppable "Diddy like" drive, extreme talent, and the blessings and grace from God it won’t take one/fourth the time of a solar eclipse for H*Wood The Heart Throb to entertain and convey his star qualities with breathtaking music to the world!
