Born and raised in Oakland, Ca. Matt' B. found his passion for music in
his early years of playing on house-hold pianos, chimes, and drum sets.
Years had passed as he took his poetry more serious. Writing was
something that always was an easy for him. He noticed it was
something that helped him to express his thoughts. As he matured, he
began to get more creative with his use of words, and talent.
He began to look up to his brother for guidance with rapping. Finally
reaching his teenage years, he recorded an extensive amount of songs
along with his brother at their home studio. Producing himself on common
beginning comp. programs such as "fruity loops" he began to realize he
had gifts in more than just rapping and writing. His brother, being a few
years older than him, would record him and make sure all tracks came out
the best they could.
During his freshmen year of high school he hooked up with a few
classmates, and began to experience what being in a professional studio
atmosphere was like. But at this point music was still just a hobby for the multi-talented young man.
Few years had passed again, ones in which were crucial to Matthew
staying focused with his schooling. He began to record with more
high school friends, but this time creating a group by the name of The
Playboiz, which consisted of himself along with two others. Over the
summer of 2006 they began recording on a regular in a couple of
different studios working with top notch engineers.
According to Matthew, "things just didn't work out with the group", which
lead to him going solo. After much thought, he noticed that this
was a step that needed to be took. He knew that he was better off
depending on only himself to further his dreams in the music industry.
Now, at the age of 18. Matt B. feels that he is ready for more. Now, currently residing in Los Angeles, Ca he is networking his way to the top working with a variety of different engineers, ent's, photographers, and DJ's of all sorts. Stay tuned!
