Originally from Ethiopia, Sofiya Ahmed is a very talented woman who has been in the film business for more than a decade. She is one of the best make-up artist & special effects for film and TV, as well as magazines. Along with the make-up business, challenges Sofiya has faced have certainly earned her a degree in film. Some of her achievements include; produced “International Reggae Superstars Concert @ Acc†which attracted artists such as, Elephant Man, Kevin Lyttle, Cocoa Tea, Lady Saw, Buju Banton, and Bounty Killa. Sofiya also produced “Working in the Shadow†a documentary based on the life of World Music Award winner and a legend in all of Africa Ali Birra. With roots in Africa, the Middle East, Jamaica and North America Sofiya has an international perspective and has relationships world wide. Focusing on investors relations, producing and production consultant, Sofiya recognizes the unique opportunities in the growing film industries of Africa and other countries. Her responsibilities include assembling the most effective team of professionals in the field, formulating a long-range of strategy, growth management and maintaining project continuity. Sofiya has a passion for film making and bringing to life powerful stories to audiences all over the world.
