The band was formed some time in August 2002 with members namely cent on guitar/vocals, art on bass, nicole on drums and loy on guitar, collectively known as fishtank. After a year of writing songs they came up with a 10-track CD, which they submitted to NU107 but unfortunately was quickly turned down due to its poor quality recording. After coming up with a more decent demo and a change in the members final line-up they decided to change their name to lemonbee for good. Again they submitted a four-track demo to the same station and after several weeks of hoping and praying, they finally played their songs in one of its Sunday program, In The Raw. After that incident, they gained more guts to submit their demos to recording companies hoping to score a record deal in the near future.
