About Me

My Groovology:
Born into a musical family from Kingston, NY, I started playing percussion at the tender age of 9 and later transitioned into playing drums in junior high school and by the time I graduated from high school, I did my first recording session with a local gospel group, in 1980's. Relocated to Atlanta, GA in 2004. I have a love for God, sports, music and family.

My Accomplishments:
-2002 / Started my own company called BlockPark Media Group (BPMG)

-2005 / Created my own fusion-jazz band, GroovProject

-2006 / Produced and released debut CD called Soul Jazzations

-2007 / Produced and released sophomore CD called The Life, The Loss, The Love

Band Members: This rhythm & jazz project is throwback soul, nice sustained grooves with a gentle melody, lounge mood and sophisticated chords. Sunny and sultry vibes with a touch of contemporary jazz, topped off with soulful vocals.

The band generally consists of drums, percussion, keyboards, bass, lead guitar and sometimes vocals, horns.

GP has appeared in many local hot-spots all-over Atlanta, like Apache Cafe, the legendary Cafe 290, Centennial Park, Pisces Seafood and Jazz, BMI Showcase @Club Vision, Daileys, Barleys and many others venues.
