About Me

So much has happened in this band in it's relatively short life. We have had many ups and downs but now, we have got our shit together!! A book could be written containing all the specifics, but i'll narrow it down for u...After years of playing in bands together, Stu and Slinger met Owen and formed Spyplane in the fall of 2003, jamming on covers for weeks until slinger wrote half of what later became our song 'Cheerleader', which kicked it all off. An old friend from one of Stu and Slingers former bands, Paul Smith, was drafted in and played a few gigs on guitar, helping to thicken our sound and add more colour to our songs, but later left, leaving us to carry on as a 3 piece. We played as a 3 piece for months writing material and playing shows around Leeds and Bradford, untill personal issues forced the band to take a 6-8 month break, in which time Stu got married, Slinger got loved up and Owen got single and joined EVERYSECONDOFEVERYDAY, recording and playing shows with them.Talks began about getting the plane back together, With Slinger switching from bass and vocals to guitar and vocals, leaving a gap for a bassist. Having played with Chris in E.S.E.D. Owen introduced him to Stu and Slinger as a potential bassist. Impressed, he was asked to join the band. His style and sound immediately helped the band's morale immensley, and helped our songs mature. We are now working on new material, which brings us to now....
