Hi, my name is Drew LeClair. Those of you in the Columbia/W. Columbia/Cayce area may know me from the band Escape This or from the Sumter Street Storage complex which is where I do alot of my recording that isn't on site..
I have always been a home recordist, primarily doing my own stuff, until about winter of '03 when I recorded my first band, Upon a Tragic Ending (since disbanded). That was done before I went PC and was recorded entirely on a Korg D1600 multitrack workstation. People started hearing the disc, liked what they heard and I soon started getting requests from other local bands about recording their material. It was soon after the disc got written up in the Columbia Free Times that I realized I had something.
I have recorded bigger local names such as She Walks in Beauty, Chasing August, Burns Out Bright, The Autumn overcast, The Maladroit Mafia, Build a Bridge, and See Him Through. I'm very versatile when it comes to production skills. Though alot of the artists I work with are heavier based rock/metal/hardcore acts, do not be frightened that I will want to make your R&B or jazz record chock full of distorted guitars and double bass drumming. I enjoy variety and have come accustomed to adapting to different styles and working comfortably in different genres if an artist decides to take me on as producer as well as engineer.
As the name would imply, my rig is completely mobile. I can come to you if necessary. Usually for quick demos or overdub/mixing work I prefer to stay local and work out of the storage unit. For bigger scale projects I like to go on site if the location is suitable. If your band or you cannot supply a place to track, other arrangements may be possible, but may in turn cost a little extra for the space.
Some people may be skeptical about my results and how I am able to achieve them with the equipment that I have and do it so cheap. I would like to clear up any skepticism right now. Know that when you work with me, your are working with someone that cares just as much about your sound as you do. Know that you are working with a fellow musician that understands your needs and can help you get "that sound". Most importantly, know that I will work hard to bring you the results you want and the quality you would expect from any major recording studio at a small fraction of the cost. Listen to any of the songs in the player above and hear the difference for yourself.

Basic Pricing w/o Consultation:
1 Song Demo (Mixed, Mastered) - $75
3 Song Demo (Mixed, Mastered) - $150
6 Song EP (Produced, Mixed, Mastered) - $350
12 Song LP (Produced, Mixed, Mastered) - $750 or BY QUOTE
Live Recording at a Venue - BY QUOTE
Any number of songs that is between the given figures typically goes for $50 extra per song (so say you want to record 4 songs instead of 3, the total cost would be $200 rather than $150). The prices given are self explanatory. I offer my production skills at no extra cost for larger projects. If you would like to have me produce your demo (demo meaning under 5 songs), contact me for additional information since the price will vary depending on how much I am involved. I can also offer discounted rates for pre-production projects (in which, for instance, you want to demo your entire record for proofing and songwriting purposes before going into the studio).
I can offer guitar, drums, and bass for your project if you so wish to have me play on it. I can also program beats for hip-hop/rap/R&B projects but that is strictly by quote.
Keep in mind, I do not charge by the hour, so however long it takes to get your project (be it one song or a full-length record) sounding right, thats how long it takes (within reason, lol). If I am needed out of town for an extended period of time the quoted price may go up a bit to compensate for being away from home.
