Anything related to music or performing arts, I'm there! I write short stories sometimes when I get free time, which isn't very often, so it's been a while. I know that makes me sound like a complete dork, and that would be because I am. I sometimes waltz around my house singing show tunes or saying various movie quotes. It gets me through the day. I also like to leave fun messages on my voicemail and pretend that what I have to say is more important than it really is. Another one of my favorite things to do is talk about body parts in scientific names. Enough of that, the phalanges need a rest, leave it up to the orbicularis oris!
I like to meet someone who's not a complete idiot. (just to make a quick insertion, but not too quick as to leave you pleasureless, I'll probably go back and read this and realize I myself appear to be a total moron) Any of you skilled in the art of that which is sarcasm and morbid humor would be my bestest best friend, pinky promise. One of the things I value most is a good ol' sense of humor, and if you can be as twisted as me I'll worship you forever and sell relics in your honor.
My taste in music is very out there. I like pretty much everything, give or take a few (don't you just love clichés?) In all honesty though, I listen to about everything, so I'm not going to sit here and write out every single band I've ever graced my ears with. Sometimes I do get in moods where I'll only listen to hardness, then lovey dovey music, then sad depressing songs. It all depends on how I feel, I suppose! If I had to pick a favorite band it would probably have to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Something about that Anthony Kiedis just rubs me the right way. Let me tell you, if I was like 37 I would so hit that. Musicians turn me on big time. Something about a guy and some musical skills. Meow and grr.
Fight Club, Anchorman, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, Great Balls Of Fire, Lost Reality, Run Ronnie Run, Gone With The Wind, The Wiz, Little Nicky, Silence Of The Lambs, Red Dragon, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet, Office Space, Napoleon Dynamite, Sleepwalkers, S.I.C.K. (I love cheesey low budget horror movies, they're so fun to watch and taunt)...and more, I'm sure!
I haven't watched TV in a while. Although when Daria and Rocko's Modern Life come on during a rare occasion when the moon is in its waning stage and all the planets are perfectly aligned and all the flamingos at Sea World stand on their left legs facing due West, I'm so there it's not even funny. Family Guy, The Simpsons, Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Clone High, The Swan, Trading Spouses, Chapelle's Show, and Degrassi: The Next Generation are good things to watch when I can catch 'em!
Pure is a good book. As is Cannibal Killers, and anything by Patricia Cornwell.
I can't really say that one person in particular is my hero. It would probably have to be a mesh of different people. I guess someone who can be themselves at all times and never have to base their lives upon someone else's opinions constantly would be a good one. Don't dwell on the past and don't live so far into the future that you can't bask in the now!
