O.V.C stands for One Voice Crew, to most of you who have heard it before;
but the truth and fact is...it means much more than just another crew.
One Voice Crew started out in the mid 1997 with only a few members of different band getting together
to make the hardcore scene in Singapore a difference. Our intentions and aim was to widespread OVC not only in Singapore
but also in some parts of Malaysia. And from Indonesia too. Currently we are trying to get most part of SEA to participate in this movement too.
ONE VOICE now is trying to spread more widely than expected. The true meaning of ONE VOICE is to not
segregate among the underground scene but instead to get different concept
of various individual(underground musician) to participate in supporting each other..
Basically saying to unite among ourselves and the underground music scene.
Remember that ONE VOICE RECORDS(crew) started with just a few guys in the crew. Few compilations and EPs have been released.
ONE VOICE RECORDS prime objective is to expose up & coming band(s) which need supports,
all and all to sums things up saying that one voice is a helping organization for underground band(s)
that are struggling now.OVC was at the top of its game in the past but due to unforeseen circumstances the "crew" has shrunk in
size and only some of the bands and "crew" members are still around. The scene in Singapore are goin to the mainstreams and some members of OVC
felt that we need to start the "movement" again. And revive the good old hardcore days where there was no segregation and discrimination.
Where everyone knew everyone, and we got along. To educate the kids on what hardcore really means. The true meaning of hardcore.
Our main and current goals now are to unite or reunite asia (SEA) underground music, make as much friends/ correspondences as we can.
This achievement will thus that when (bands) they/ we do tour(s) to respected country/ countries they/ we will feel at "home" and welcome as there're OVC
kids around. To help those bands who are and still struggling, we are totally DIY record label,doing shows ourselves.
Words to think about
So do you understand the meaning of what i wrote? Can
you fully understand whats our main goal? Are you
afraid?? Are afraid of being an outcast for
trully believing in what's right and the truth?
Are you afraid of what others might talk about you??
Are you tired of all the bad rumours and gossips?? Ive
been through all that. The fight for unity is has
barely began and your in doubts??
Let me ask you this...what is hardcore to you??
Contemplate on your answer and then read what i wrote
again.(the brief history of OVC)
Im not here to presuade you to do anything,
all im asking is for you to think. Why are others talking
about OVC? Whether it's good or bad,
people are still talking. Why?? Simple.
They feel threaten, its human nature to be afraid or
something you dont fully understand.
Its human nature to criticize before
accepting.Its human nature to retaliate when they feel that
they will lose something or someone.
Understand what i writing to you now.........
there will always be others that are unsecured and when in
doubts will abandon plans or things.
Are you one of the strong ones? Or are
you the weaker ones? Are you the one to just follow without
fully understanding the real situation?
Or are you the sort that will investigate
for the truth? Are you the sort to stand and fight
for what you believe in and never give up hope no matter
how bad the situation gets? Or are you the sort
to give up? Your a grown adult..so think. Like i said
before, im not here to presuade you to be part of OVC,
im here to make you understand and realize the
