"WAR"
Dear friends please come out and check this play that I am in. I am having a great time exploring the stage and for those who don't know this is my off Broadway debut at the Rattlestick Theater. Below is all the info on the play. I hope to see you there.
The ambitious and exciting 2007/2008 season continues with Europe’s most produced playwright coming to Rattlestick for a very special production! The author of some fifty plays, Lars is also the Artistic Director of the RiksDrama, Sweden’s national theater.Lars Noren’s WARWAR Written by Lars Norén Directed by Anders Cato (Craig Lucas’s Miss Julie)Previews Begin: January 31 Special Preview Benefit: February 5th For benefit information and tickets, click this linkOpening Night: February 11 @ 7PM Runs through March 2 Wed – Sat at 8pm, Sun at 5pm For tickets, call 212-868-4444It is a year of ethnic cleansing. A mother and her two daughters, their father missing and presumed dead, think only of survival. When the father returns unexpectedly, they must confront a world gone completely wrong. Through this simple family tale, Norén creates a powerful human statement that becomes, through the use of multi-ethnic casting, a history of genocide in our century.

LATEST NEWS
I am pleased to announce that I have booked my first major stage job at the Huntington Theatre Company in Boston AKA The Broadway of Boston this coming Spring
The play is called "THE CRY OF THE REED" by Sinan Unel and directed by Daniel Goldstein (making his Broadway directorial debut in the revival of Godspell in summer 2008).
A journalist and her colleague find themselves unexpectedly "detained" by a band of insurgents as bombs rain down on a wartorn landscape. Her captors offer her one telephone call - a chance to reconnect with the mother she hasn't spoken to in 10 years, now living in Turkey and preparing for a festival celebrating the great Sufi poet Rumi. History, religion, and the beauty of whirling dervishes collide in this powerful, ripped-from-the-headlines portrait of a world at war.Sinan Unel's plays have been produced in New York, Boston, New Haven, Los Angeles, London, Germany, and Austria. A Huntington Playwriting Fellow, he is the winner of the John Gassner Memorial Award, the Daryl Roth Creative Spirit Award, and the Lark Theater's New Play Award. His other plays include Pera Palas, Tolstoy's Den, Thalassa My Heart, and The Three of Cups.____________________________________________________________ _____

ARRANGED
Rachel is an Orthodox Jew, and Nasira a Muslim of Syrian origin. They are both young teachers at a public school in Brooklyn. They also have something else in common--they are going through the process of getting "arranged marriages" through their respective religious and traditional customs. With both family pressure on the one hand, and rejection of traditional values from the outside world on the other, Rochel and Nasira will have to rely on each other and their friendship to pull through this difficult time of their lives. They will eventually prove to everyone around them that they can be strong women in charge of their own happiness, while keeping their deep religious and cultures convictions. most importantly, they will show the world that friendship doesn't discriminate. (Run time 1:30)
