The early beginnings of the group happened by chance. DJ and Khadijo were next door neighbors in Raleigh, NC. One afternoon DJ overheard Khadijo playing what sounded like a piano, and also heard music along with it. So, DJ decided to ask his neighbor, was it him working on the music? DJ invited Khadijo to come check out his home studio because he had artists coming over to listen to his tracks and record. Khadijo soon found himself spending many afternoons and nights over at DJ's place, conversing, editing, playing and arranging music with DJ and his artists. Synasta was already a long-time friend of DJ,who also sings with FRUITS OF LABOR on myspace. So it was only natural to introduce himself to Khadijo, and the musical birth happened. The very first project the group worked on was producing hip-hop music for a local rap group. They immediately branched out to produce R&B music for a singer. That was essentially the proving ground of producing music for people. Unfortunately, the group separated about a year or two, but came back together, after the release of Khadijo's acid jazz AFTER ALL THIS TIME... DJ sent me tracks over the net, I worked on them trying to establish a groove and there it was. Then quickly, Synasta sent beats, and before we realized it. Tracks were complete and ready for public listening in a matter of days.The six tracks are a combination of a burning fires for serious music, hence the title SOUND TRIANGLE... WELL GROWN is an intricate dialogue of strings, and soundscapes perfect for that up-tempo ambient mood. TRIPPIN TRIPTYCH is based on a story of a guitarist stuck out in the desert trying to get to a party that hes imagining. NIGHT AIR is a beautiful flute rendition of the stillness of the dark with a bumpin beat that is not too intrusive, but peaceful enough. BUMP THAT BEAT is a joint that is eminent throughout the record. If you havent got it by now, youre basically dead. The ITALIZE dub is actually lifted from the AFTER ALL THIS TIME...album that Khadijo produced. This track is in true dub form, but with some sophisticated elements of jazz. Lastly, rounding out the package is the infamous STAND UP. This track is like nothing that is heard in music today. The reverb piano haunts any spirit you have in you to really listen to the inner sounds of the music, while driving rhythm keeps you on a pace of destined journey throughout the SOUND TRIANGLE...
