Those fearful tears are harder
He's the first one she's ever heard to sayHe holds her in his arms
As she cries those fearful tears of worry
He wipes away the tears
As she whispers that she's sorryHe whispers into her ear

Then she asks why"Why do you want me?
Why do you love me?
What inside of me is it
That you really see?"He just takes her in his arms
And kisses her face
He said "I love you
Nobody can take your place"Though she still has no explaination of why
She just has to have hope
Another reason why the fearful tears
Doesn't help her copeShe whispers into his ear

And I know that this is true"Every ounce of her heart
Loves this man so much
Her soul screams out loud
Just with a gentle touchTo ever lose him
Is her greatest fear of all
And yet again this fear
Will make those fearful tears fallShe knows these fearful tears are pointless
And really, there's no reason to feel this way
That's why she tries to fake a smile
Each and every dayThe only real smile she shows
Is when she's in his arms at night
An she can feel his arms around her
His grip holding her tightThis is where she feels safe
This is where she knows
Nothing bad can happen
