Fallen Empire

Fallen Empire was formed in the late winter of 1997. Founding members Hellspawn Lead Guitar/Vocals, Talon Percussion, and Tora Bass/Vocals recorded “From The Ashes” a 2 song demo featuring Sarah Gibbs on rhythm guitar. The demo was well received in the underground scene and the band moved forward onto the next recording. In late 1998 Nazareth joined the ranks on keyboard. Nazareth played double duty between guitar and keys when Sarah left the band during the recording of the “Shadows” mcd. Not long after the recording Valkyr joined the band to takeover on keyboards. During this time Fallen Empire recorded King Diamonds “The Exorcist” for Necropolis Records Tribute album to the King. Nazareth left the band in 1999. Soon after Josh “Maggot” Gregrich joined the band to fill the empty guitar slot for a short period of time. During this time Fallen Empire began writing songs for “Through The Blackened Gates of Immortal Hell”. Skullcrusher joined the band during this time. In 2002 “Through The Blackened Gates of Immortal Hell” was released. In 2003 Valkyr left the band and Jason Grunwald from Wyvern Guild joined sharing keyboard and guitar duties with Skullcrusher.Fallen Empire has been featured on many underground CD’s including Oskori from Norway, American Black Metal Assualt, Frozen Dawn, to name a few. The band also played numerous live shows across the mid south and has played with Nile, Mayhem, Hate Eternal, Exhumed, and several festivals, including November To Dismember, Blackend The Skies Fest, and Milwaukee Metal Fest. In 2004 Fallen Empire disbanded. Now in 2007 Fallen Empire has reformed with plans of writing a new album and performing live again Breaking the Boundaries’ of Death!
