My primary personal profile is http://www.myspace.com/hanscarter. This particular profile is for one of my interests, UFOs and the paranormal. One of the things that has dismayed me is the lack of quality regarding what is generally considered evidence. I believe the standards for evidence need to be raised considerably for the good of the field. Dr. J. Allen Hynek would seek to disprove sightings in his investigations in order to seperate the wheat from the chaff. In the field of ghost hunting today The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) has chosen that same standard, to disprove reported hauntings. To put it another way, we need to have standards that are at least as high as the skeptics. In most cases, roughly 90 percent, sightings can be explained away as natural phenomena. It's the other 10 percent that interests me. What's left after the investigative filtering process is the evidence. There's way too much crap out there that calls itself evidence. We have to take responsibility for the evidence we present and stop placing the blame on government misinformation compaigns and vague conspiracy theories we can't prove. If you are looking for information on the reptillian agenda, a who's who of the Skull and Bones Society/Freemasons, or action strategies of the New World Order, this probably isn't the site for you. I am not interested in propogating the "conspiranoia" that has taken over the field. If, on the other hand, you are looking for thought provoking discussion on sightings and compelling evidence, welcome to my world.
