Born and living in Oporto (Portugal), Frederico Faria (Fred) was never really connected to music, although like any other teenager he enjoyed listening to.
It was the beginning of 2003, when he started attending to big events with world-renowned DJs, that he discovered how electronic music would fascinate him.
With the increase of the night outs as well as the big admiration for the DJ Sets, the DJ feeling slowly started to appear in his life.
With an enthusiastic research over the internet about the DJ work and the mixing techniques, as with the home sessions with his friends (also connected to DJing), he learned what later would be playing a big role in his life.
He started mixing in school parties even before he had his own gear, which would be bought later in 2005. Rapidly perfecting his technique he was invited to mix for an online radio.
Wishing always to go further, his main goals are: producing, becoming international and giving his contribute to what he likes most, music.
When studying Computer Science in Oporto, Vain evolved to a darker, harder aspect of electronic music.
Pushing house aside he started focusing more on the techno variations such as minimal and electro.
In mid 2007 he joined the Oporto based group Mossad Electronics, a group aiming to spread minimal and more experimental techno and electronica.
For the past year the group has been working in various fields, like djing, music production, party promotion and soon to work as netlabel too.
