About Me

Born in Athens, Greece, Chris began playing the guitar at age 9, learning his technique primarily through practice and the occasional private lesson. He considers himself self-taught and cites Allan Holdsworth, Andy Timmons, Mike Wead, Frederik Thordendal and Andy La Rocque as main influences. His first band, Twilight Zone, released a demo tape in 1992 to positive reviews from Greek metal magazines and recorded another three tracks that were never released due to compulsory army obligations of most members. Twilight Zone disbanded in 1995. In 1998, Chris joined an Athenian thrash band called Brain Fade, playing several local gigs to reviews that praised his shredding. He left Brain Fade to form a prog band with members from Apparently Dead, Acid Death and Fata Morgana in 2000. That same year on a trip to Zurich, he recorded tracks for Martin Eisele (Bleuel A.G.), which were used for a Sennheiser/Focusrite recording workshop. Chris also worked as a replacement guitarist with Crimson Sunsets, the opening act for The Gathering at the popular Rodon Club. "Laying Notes," a self-produced 4-song mini CD, marked his debut as a solo artist and garnered good reviews from Greek and international critics upon its release in 2003. He followed this with weekly performances at the Architektoniki Club in Athens as the opening act for the Kostas Tournas Group. Chris is currently performing with a techno-thrash band called Despise and working on his songs aiming for a future CD release.2 years ago , he started road cycling and lately became a member of CYCLIST.GR Cycling Team.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
