Growing up in South Florida, music and horses were the two loves of my life. (Still are!) I was an only child, and lucky to have parents that sacrificed so that I could have what I wanted most: my own horse. My universe was centered around him. I was at that barn from sunup to sundown every day that I can remember. Music was always in our house, as my parents were always involved in a band of one sort or another. There were always people scattered around the living room playing music. I loved it more than anything & always wanted to be in the thick of it all, but was just too shy to join in. By some weird twist of fate, that all changed one night when I was 32. (I got drunk & sang karaoke!) Shortly after that, I started singing in a band called WALLSTREET in Jupiter, Florida & my life was changed. Forever. In 1999, I moved to Dallas, Texas & joined a band called CRUSH, then in late 2002, helped form THE FLAVOURS band, & have been with them ever since. We play weekends in the Dallas/FtWorth area. Come check us out! www.theflavours.com),or(www.myspace.com/theflavoursband) Great guys. Awesome musicians! Music has introduced me to some really, really incredible people. Not only talented... so much more than that. Friends who have taught me so much, inspired me, challenged me, & loved me. I am married with two awesome kids: Scott/23, & Jessi/20. They're both grown and out living their own lives, but they're in my heart and on my mind with every breath I take. Someone asked me why I chose this particular page layout, with "Live" at the top. I guess that's because I believe we only LIVE once, & I try to do as much of that as I can -while I can. When I'm old, I want to look back on my life & have lots of great stories to tell. (And I do!) When I'm sitting around the old folks home telling my stories, nobody's going to believe half of them! And if I die tomorrow, I’ll go knowing that “I have livedâ€! Thanks to all of my friends for helping me do it right! Love, Barbara Jean
