Born in the Summer of love, July 2007.
Kev was gigging solo, and promoting his own, original, acoustic material. He ended up playing a gig in Glasgow whilst laying low from some gypsy's. This is where it all began...............
So........in walks this guy, he sees a laddie playing the G and singing sweet, he grabs a seat at a table with some Eastern European looking blokes.
Anyhow, he listens to the lad on stage and is inspired..........lad gets off the stage........guy introduces himself as Stevie.....they both look at the gypsy's and run........ COMMON HEIGHTS is born
Soon.....
Formed with the pure intention of Rocking the faces off people.........Kev and Stevie decide they need a drummer, and Lead G man. Kev ken's two people and lays down some rapid texting action.........Remer and Sexy Fast Hands are recruited......

.....................
Common Heights are on next. Another four piece band, they started their set with a solo acoustic number from their lead singer Kevin Hughes. Then the whole band gets in on the action and they let loose a storming set of punk influenced songs. The jagged guitars that peppered "Kick a Habit" came over with a ferocity that took the Bluesbunny all the way back to 1978. There was a freshness to their sound that would perk up the ears of the most jaded of listeners and things really took off with their last song, the vaguely funky "Project Justice".
