HI I'm Steph, I'm a treehugging Jesus freak, and Greenpeace activist! I love my life and I love the One who created it! The Lord made me a sensitive hopeless romantic that has me in trouble way to many times; but in my old wise age...HA! I am learning and knowing better as life goes on... I recently was told of a very sad story about a 17 year old girl. A church group went to Africa; while they were there they saw poverty that had them standing dumb struck in pain of what they saw. Children without parents or clothes the poverty was unthinkable. They took a long walk on a trail that led to a hut. Inside was about a dozen little children without parents and one 17 year old girl caring for all of these babies, by herself and alone. They were naked, bones protruding and terrified. I don't understand why God has brought such pain upon these people and has let them live that way... My first reaction was tears uncontrollably rolling down my cheeks thinking why? How can we help them, why wont they let us adopt them? With the strict laws they have that keep their people in such awful conditions, they will not let anyone adopt these children and babies. It makes me so angry, but I have used my anger and have decided to buy (RED) products in order to help the cause. Everyone looks great in Red and I believe my contributions will help them out as much as they have promised it would. Become up supporter and buy (RED) this is not a "SPAM" add, just my heart speaking out for a baby or child I cannot hold, kiss, clothe and teach the good ways of life that I am so blessed to have. IF I could make a difference that was much larger I would but I am only the small tip of the iceberg melting in our warming world... I do what I can, but we can do better! The Trees also cry out for our help, you wonder why so many people cannot breathe? Where are the trees and why do we allow our one and only home we call mother earth suffer from our waste that we bury? I want my children to see the amazing wonders of the world, not war, not pain, not grey/blue skies... BLUE SKIES, BRIGHT BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS, DEEP BLUE WATERS AND THE GREAT CREATURES OF THE OCEAN AND THE UNKNOWN CREATURES OF THE DEEP... THE AMAZING BREATHTAKING WHALES AND THEIR BEAUTY WITH THIER TALES ROLLING OVER THE WATER AS THEY DIVE, GREEN LUSH MOUNTAINS AND A GROWING, GLOWING EARTH TO EXPLORE AND TOUCH! THE WISE OLD REDWOODS SHOOTING HIGH IN THE SKY AS OLD AS THE DINOSAURS, HOW AMAZING THEY ARE AND TO TOUCH THEM AND HUG THEM AND STAND IN AWE OF THEIR MAJESTIC BEAUTY... THAT is me, that is what I care about... and most of all the Dragonflies, in colors you would never imagine flying innocently in the swamps and streams! I LOVE DRAGONFLIES!!! I am married to an amazing man and have 2 baby boys; all 3 of them are gifts from GOD... I am a Christian and enjoy giving back to the Lord through my Art. I am an Artist and have many talents! I dance & have choreograph many works. I am a former ASU Dance Major but had to give up my degree because I could no longer "FAKE" that my injury did not exist and had to give that up; if you can't dance, you can't get your degree in dance... Even if you have been working towards one for 2+ years... I have been blessed to be in charge of a dance ministry at my church, so I am able to choreograph and create works for the Lord and it is very fulfilling to me. I am Founder and President of ASHI Modern Dance Productions TM. My first show that I Directed and Produced is called GLIMPSE. This show was very unique because before each piece the audience had to sit in the dark and listen to my voice reciting a poem that I had written and that gave them an idea of what the piece was about. It was amazing and since most of my poetry is from deep within; some expressing great pain and brokenness that I have endured throughout my life, GLIMPSE you could say was a "glimpse" inside my soul; it created a lot of closure for me and moved the audience in their each individual ways, it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to do it again. The company is taking a break; but the vision for the next show SOLSTICE is amazing and will be preformed in a cave. The show will be very CIRQUE DU SOLEIL like, since I am totally inspired by their work. I am also an Aerial Dancer and will be collaborating Modern Dance and Aerial Dance into my works for the show. I am very excited about it, but when it's time and things are a go SOLSTICE will be an amazing show! I write poetry and 3 of my most very personal poems have been published in "one" book, I was very surprised when I found this out and I am very proud of my latest accomplishment. I also draw unique figures but I have not released any of those to be viewed by the public eye; although some of my closest friends have seen them... They are very special to my heart and I am simply not ready to share them yet beyond my close friends and family. I also take pictures and love Photography! I have posted many of my pictures that are dear to my heart, PLEASE DON'T STEAL THEM... My favorite thing to photograph are feet, I just love feet and for some reason they are beautiful to me. I also love taking pictures of my boys, trees, coastal shots, candid moments and original things that come my way. I get told a lot that I should make a "living" or start my own business and I will one day ASHI TM is an acronym for ART SPEAKS HERE INDEFINITELY... I plan to open a center that has tangible art, dance, photography and poetry offered in one building; but that is a dream that will be built slowly on a strong foundation and I am very excited to watch it evolve and grow and become a beautiful life changing place for myself and other people to come and express themselves through art. But I am not ready to do that yet; but I know I will be blessed with the opportunity to do it one day. I am also a ROCK CLIMBER and love the sport... When you are climbing you don't think of anything but getting up to the end of the route no matter how hard it is without falling off! It is very soul soothing and keeps your focus off "everyday life" and all of the problems that may come your way. Oh and climbing outside is a totally different experience... You are completely exposed to nature and the only thing holding you up there are your fingers oh and of course the rope if you take a fall... It's great hearing nothing but nature being all by yourself attached to that rock face by your own power and fingers. I can brag and tell you I have reached my peak of mastering 11.5 in difficulty and I think that is pretty good for a 100 pound 5'2 little me!!! Since I cannot dance I plan to land my career in Abnormal Psychology. I am amazed at what the human mind can do. The things the mind is capable of to protect victims of child abuse, rape and any other type of abuse, may it be verbal, physical or sexual it's still abuse and the mind is sometimes the greatest protection we have to get us through life. I plan to make that my life's work; to help people pick up the pieces and put themselves back together and become whole again. I am especially focused on working with MPD/DID victims and hearing their stories and helping them become integrated and whole again... I travel and love it, my favorite place to go is San Francisco, I love it there, Jon and I were married 12 miles south of the city off HWY 1 right on the water at Rock Away Beach. I visit San Francisco the most and explore just north of the Golden Gate Bridge; it is beautiful there... It's fun to walk down Height and Ashbury my inner hippie will never grow old; I love wearing my Hippie Festival Dresses walking around without shoes it's great!
New England is another favorite of mine. I love the GREEN TREES and homes without fences and countless trails hidden deep within the Trees and being able to explore with my boys and take pictures. It's great especially when you find things in the middle of no where, things you have to get on film. I am a little explorer and have not left the country, hopefully I will be able to step foot abroad and experience other cultures and walk on land I have only seen pictures of. YOGA is good to me and I try to go once a week so I can center myself again!
I LOVE DRAGONFLIES THEY ARE THE MOST UNIQUE COLORFUL CREATURES ON THE PLANET AND ARE SO BEAUTIFUL...
