Mynas

Mynas formed in Barnsley in 2008, after several lengthy and embarrassing bouts of begging by Del in an attempt to get Chris and Steve to play with him. Del, having returned from his uninspiring stint at uni in the Midlands, had been recording songs on the cheap, while Chris was busy booking and promoting gigs at a local venue (The Arches), and Steve had spent almost a decade in psychedelic folk-rockers, Gaia. A few months in late 2007 were spent rehearsing and gigging with Dave Pickering on drums, before his departure and Steve’s own from Gaia worked out very well indeed for all concerned. Although we have hitherto concentrated on recording (we all agree that writing and recording are paramount), we intend, in 2009 and (hopefully) beyond, to take on more gigs and showcase what we believe are chuffing good songs.
