ElecTRex aka Yet Another Beat Maker

About Me

Started playing vinyl records at the age of 4. Played trombone in high school band and orchestra. Then studied drums and played in various bands around the Lehigh Valley area of PA. Co-produced with a friend, a jazz concert in West Park , in Allentown in 1963.

Got to experience the tail end of the Industrial Revolution in the Lehigh Valley of PA. Now, I'm trying to re-create some of the rhythmic sounds I used to hear in the factories. Funny how it goes! Another thing that got me interested in industrial archeology was a book I read a few years back about the industrial revolution in England. everything that happened over there happened in the area of Pennsylvania that I grew up in. That interest evolved into the archeology of the sounds of the industrial revolution, which I am just beginning to explore. Any help in finding those sounds would be much appreciated!

Studied some keyboard and percussion after moving to Tucson, AZ. Played percussion and drums in the local civic orchestra and in some bands composed of various members of that group. Got tired of lugging the hardware around and started studying synthesized music in the late 1990's. Got into electronic music production in 2003. Current interest is in exploring the multi-faceted aspects of Sound and Music.

Music and Intention

Some of the music has more intention than others. "Rumble"  was a feeling that I set out with, sort of like the rumbling of thunder before it cracks through.  Or an earthquake, before it hit...
