2nd sense

powered by ODEOI started rapping when I was about 17. I sounded kinda cheezy, and couldnt breathe because I didnt take breath control into consideration when I wrote songs. Most of my beats were made by A.T.O.M. the Immortal since we are close friends, and I even got my first beats for about 10$ a pop.(thanx Atom) But as I got older, and my life changed, and I went through serious trials, I couldnt help but notice the lack of "real" content. Though I was theologicaly correct with what I was rhyming about, There wasnt very much application. So my songs tended to be very long, and at times incoherant. There were 3 things that changed in my life to help me make better music.
1.Breaking up with my x-girlfriend when I was 21. I started writing songs that dealt with how I felt, and related to God.
2. Alcholism. I started drinking, then when I got depressed and thought that my life was going basically nowhere I drank heavily.
3.God's forgiveness through Jesus Christ,and the power of His Spirit. After repenting from sin,(renouncing and turning away from and honestly at times Ive struggled with still) God has shown Himself faithful when I have been an absolute wretch! As God has been working in my life it leads me to Regeneration.
He had to work in my life and bring me to a point of knowing and following Him.
Then as He works and I follow Him He is glorified, and in some ways so am I. Hence the 1st cd "Regeneration unto Glory" Most of that disc was written while I was struggling in sin. But as He worked in my life and changed lots of things then He was and hopefully still is glorified.
