About Me

Just cant leave dat boy alone?
Get ur tunes here an u can keep Bigga wit u all thru the day!
Like so many reggae artists, Christopher Butler, known to his multitudes of fans as Brooklyn's own Reggae Master, Bigga da Boss da Rocka, was island born. But in his case the island was Long Island, the country was the United States and the town was Brooklyn NYC.
Born in the East New York section of Brooklyn and residing in Bed-Stuy, Bigga grew up surrounded simultaneously by both the Dancehall Music of his Caribbean & African immigrant neighbours as well as the "beats" of Urban American Hip-Hop Culture.
His musical talent sparked by the rich synthesis of the music of the various cultures that surrounded him, Bigga improvised his own style of chantin' developing a Reg Hop fusion sound as an American Hip-Hop Reggae Artist.
You can see Bigga on the TV, hear Bigga on the Radio and most every week you can catch Bigga performing live at all the best events like the Universal Hip Hop Parade , and at the hottest venues throughout the New York Tri-state area, including the famed Apollo Theater , the Brown Sugar Club , the Amarachi Lounge , the Apocalypse Lounge , Sin Sin and many others.

Influences:

I love Reggae so much I created my own.

As way back as I can remember I have always loved Reggae Music. The vibe, the culture, the life . . . it is everything I am.

Reggae legends, well the one's in my era especially the the Dancehall & Ragga style of those like Spragga Benz , Shabba Ranks , Ninjaman and Super Cat and even ones before me, like the great Bob Marley have influenced my music down to the core.

I try to bring the American side of the culture. You see the perspective is from the hood, your hood. The language is part Caribbean, some African and rest is straight Brooklyn Hood but Reggae Style, as only I can do it.
