To me, music is angelic. A mesmerizing voice or melody can heal, elevate, and soften one's soul. It can create a rekindled timeline, flashing back a special memory never forgotten. I grew up listening to Sarah Vaughn, Dinah Washington, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Sinatra, Ray Charles, Mario Lanza, James Brown, Ms. Warrick, Barbra Streisand, Nat King Cole, Jackie Wilson, Chicago, Aretha, Perry, The Carpenters, Carly and James, Smokey and so many other very talented artists. Growing up in Northern Indiana, I was introduced into an array of music by my mother. The camel walk was interesting to watch as she kept with the beat... I remember oodles and oodles of record albums and bass music sounding my home. A big collection of Cole Porter interests me so much and I didn't know then that his home town was 19 miles away from mine. The love of music was in the local air. :} Just to name a few other influences... Mr. Mathis, Petula Clark and many others instilled my love for music.
