About Me

I am an Argentinean pianist and composer, currently living in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where I'm working as piano teacher, performer and composer for theater and film soundtracks. I have won several performing and composing awards and have released two Cd's with my own works: "De Tabas e de Castelos" (About Huts and Castles) for piano solo, and "Histórias de Sonhos e Coisas que voam" (Stories of Dreams and Things that Fly) for pipes and band.
A most recent project is my partnership with cellist Marjana Rutkowski. Together we intend to knock down the wall that often separates “academic music” from “popular music” by juxtaposing the latter’s kaleidoscopic choices with our classical training. We relate to audiences with often humorous tales in English, Spanish or Portuguese – so much to travel to accomplish our quest!

This is "Y También nos Iremos Riendo en el Camino", composed by Sergio OLivé, performed by Marjana & Sergio:
And this is "La Construcción del Mundo en el Café", also composed by Sergio:
Marcos Vale's "Viola Enluarada", arranged by Sergio Olivé, performed by the duo.
"Renacer de las Cenizas", composed by Sergio
Pinguço This video is a joke with a few pictures and the "leftover" of a soundtrack (you know, that scene that the director resolves to cut off at the last moment)
There's a drunk fellow between the public who sees the show like this.

Sounds Like: This

This video shows the music "O Castelo de Gelo das Torres Coloridas":
A small boy, who has just learned to fly without help, finds on one of his journeys, a castle of ice with coloured towers in a vast, flat and lonely snowy place. Inside the castle, he is attracted by several flashes of light that drive him through a corridor which ends in a dark, infinite space, where hovers a giant ice-ball that looks like a diamond. Each one of its faces reflects or produce beams of coloured light, ever changing as he circles it. Then he learns, joyfully, that reality may have as many colors and shapes as one is open to perceive
