About Me

PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE THIS PROFILE...I READ THIS ABOUT EVERY 2 MONTHS. DO NOT FRIEND REQUEST THIS PROFILE UNLESS I KNOW YOU PERSONALLY. PLEASE REFER TO MY MUSIC PROFILE myspace.com/knowltonwalsh. New again to the new england area, I moved to Providence, Rhode Island June of 2003 from Tallahassee, Florida where I began my djiing career 4 years ago. I had recently became acclaimated to the electronic music scene in 98 listening to a lot of European trance and progressive breaks. coming from a background of playing drums for hardcore/screamo/punk bands, I continued my music efforts behind turntables. After working many afterparties and house parties in Tallahassee in 2000, spring of 2001 I began playing at local clubs like CPA and Late Night Library. That summer after getting bored with the formulaic glitzy production of the music i had been playing, I began taking interest in more funky house using sounds with a much more organic feel. After working to throw an old school style (map points) free lake party called Gizmo that went overwhelmingly well, I picked up local residencies on Fridays at Club Jade, afterhour weekends at The Afterlife/Studio B, and Saturday nights on the terrace at Late Nite Library. After moving to Providence I soon realized that i had to pretty much start from where I did when I began 4 years and 1500 miles ago. I started playing smaller rooms at clubs like Therapy in Providence last fall along with playing parties almost every weekend at The Goldmine with Mike Hoska. Ive played at many smaller bars in Providence like Liquid lounge and Sikar playing more deep house. in January i had my first gig at Plastic in Providence where I had a tremendous crowd response to a mix of peak hour funky house and darker electro house. Lately I have found a comfortable niche working in the electro/synth pop/industrial house sound. In February i picked up a residency at Pulse afterhours on Sunday mornings in the lounge from 6-11, which ended a couple of months ago. I regularly play at Plastic, which has consistently been my favorite crowd here in Providence. I have played with such headliners as Micro, Angel Alanis, Icey, Sharaz, Juju, Dara, Adam F, Hatiras, Reid Speed, AK1200, and Dave Aude.im an easy going stereophonic cowboy vagitarian who loves to boogie. im an aspiring disk jockey. most people seem to think im a little out there, but i guess theyve never been to stockholm. as well i am a college grad and an hospitality professional. big dreams and ice creams. im a bit shy and alkward sometimes, but ill probably leave a smile on your ugly face.Ill be performing at these upcoming events:10/30 at The Horror Prom at Therapy in Providence with ANGEL ALANIS, MICRO, MAHI, MAHI, KNOWLEDGE, ROCKSTEADY, OSHEEN, SPOGGA, VENOM, NEIL BAXTER and WALT ZINC12/31 at Disco 2005 at Therapy Providence with JONNY VISCIOUShttp://www.liquidgeneration.com/quiz/images/bratpack ian.jpg To link it (the actual code):
