While attending MTSU (Middle Tennesee State University), Eddie & the Readies performed throughout Tennesee and Mississippi. Now some members live in Virginia, D.C., Tennessee, and Mississippi, but they still get together once or twice a year to perform at blues festivals and private partys. Headed by James "Eddie" Patterson, a soulful raw harmonica player with alot of heart, and Sol, a deep guitarist and singer, the Readies bring a party and keep the blues alive! John Doude, Rob Evans, and Jon Hill provide the heart of the Readies. As a part of MUSIC MAKER RELIEF FOUNDATION Sol has performed backing up TAJ MAHAL, COOL JOHN FERGUSON, KENNY WAYNE SHEPARD, and has opened for BB KING, ROBERT RANDOLPH & FAMILY BAND, DEREK TRUCKS BAND, and TAJ MAHAL.
