Chosen F.E.W. and the 8th Street Band first came together at an impromptu performance at the taping of an independent film in July of 2004. At the time they didn't even know eachother's names. Everyone there was excited... we could all feel the electricity in the air. Something amazing was happening.Work immediately between Chosen F.E.W. and the 8th Street Band began as the movie was being put together. They collaborated on material for the film, as well as booked gigs throughout the local area. Recordings of these early performances were self produced and marketed in limited quantities-until early 2005-when all their efforts were channeled into creating their debut stucio-quality demo, Joint Endeavor, and releasing it to local audiences. Band Members: The creative foundation of The 8th Street Band is the instrumental alliance of Sid Damage (guitars, vocals) and Lionel Last (bass, vocals). Most formerly of the group, Love Puddle, Damage and Last have played music together for over ten years and have been friends since they were kids. They've played together with various groups at venues ranging from The Whiskey (Los Angeles) to the Coffee Depot (Riverside).The lynchpin between Chosen F.E.W. and the 8th street band is the diversity of "A" Streets (drums, percussion, synthesizers). A native of New York, he got his start as the choreographer for P-Entertainment back in 1990, and eventually graduated to independent production of original Hip Hop tracks. When he moved to Cali, he enlisted the lyrical talents of Karaz (lyricist) and Daxa aka X (lyricist) to create Chosen F.E.W. (From East to West) in 2002. They've performed at a wide range of places all over Southern California.
Influences: Come to the show and you'll see what we're all about. We are influenced by us, completely uncorrupted. Be part of the movement, you are now chosen.
Sounds Like: Rock meets rap in one of the sweetest accidents ever known to man.
