Hi Myspacians! Name is Tom McGrath!I'm a south Australian musician currently studying at Kings Baptist Grammar School. I take part in as many as possible music related activities at my school and like to think I contribute alot. I'm the schools music captain, I play in Kings Guitar Band (Guitar) , Kings Harmony (Bass) and fill in for any other musicians who cant make it in other ensembles (e.g concert band). I am stepping up to a lead role in the school musical: Anything Goes. I play lead guitar in Time Bomb and as a group, were trying to find our feet in the music industry, we'll get there one day! I also contribute to my friends music such as Kat Sachse, I play guitar in some of her songs. She will be my claw to fame, with a voice like that she could get anywhere in the world so I might as well tag along! Haha! Also I play rhythm guitar in The Vexes, I haven't actually met any of them except the lead singer Ella, which I find humerous but I am looking forward to rehearsing with them and giving it my best shot. I help out with other friends as well (with either acoustic, electric or bass guitar) and any one that needs a hand with absolutely anything musically in terms of musician wise I am free to all offers. :DI like to experiment with my music, keeping in mind with the diverging influences I hear every day, I like to think I have a broad range of appreciation for music and I'm always on the pursuit to adapting different styles of music. My main roots are Rock Based, but I always try to add a "kwerk" to the music by putting some (in my opinion) tasteful stuff of different genres in my music. This music isn't for marketing or crap like that.This music I put on here is solely for you to get a breif perspective of what sort of music I create and streams through my mind. My ideas are constantly changing and (I hope) progressing into more unique ideas. I love my Jazz and always try to add Jazz Modes into my music. Classical, isn't my strong point however I am trying to broaden my appreciation for the genre. Blues to me is a way of expressing yourself through the notes. As music is generically a conversation between the listener and the music, or thats what I believe. It has the power to do anything. Smile, Frown, Empathize, Sympathize, anything. It controls our emotions and becomes a part of us all.I mainly play guitar but you'll find all the instruments in these pieces are played by me. Of course the Time Bomb pieces however are with members of Time Bomb, which funnily enough was just me and my best friend Matt at the time haha! I am influenced by my heroes and my peers which always allow me to see new perspectives. I love my life and cannot wait to see where Music takes me.
