I'm from Monte Vista in the great state of colorful Colorado. After 2 1/2 years at South Plains College in Levelland, TX, I graduated with an Associate Degree in Commercial Music. With that, I moved to Dallas to put it to good use. I played with songwriter Dan Roberts and also with Dave Alexander and his Big Western Swing Band. I learned a lot about music from those guys. Texas has the best musicians! (Yeah, Johnny Gimble all the way!)After playing a spot at the Bluebird Cafe with artist Ben Floor, I finally answered Nashville's call and moved in 2003. Thanks to a good friend, Cody, who got me up to sit in at Tootsie's, I soon became a first call for many of the Broadway bands. That has lead my name to some sessions, showcases and even artist auditions. My most recent artist jobs were Tanya Tucker, The Roys, Emma Mae Jacob, Chelsea Lena, Mustang Sally, and Billy Arnold. I've been fortunate enough, thanks to all you guys, to make my living playing music!I got married in May 2006 to my wonderful and talented man Phil! He's amazing in all aspects of life, he sees a great light in me and is such a beautiful human being. If you get the chance to spend time with him, you will feel joy and happiness and won't even know it, just by his presence. He's perfect for me and all my nuances. He's the only one that sees the real me, and bless his heart, he loves me anyway! I love you Phil! ;) (http://www.myspace.com/gruvin_phil)I'm really excited about what the future holds right now. Phil and I have an e-commerce business that is starting to take off and we are really excited about it. We are helping people live the American Dream, get out of debt, spend time with their families, watch their kids grow, and help make all their dreams come true. We have been blessed with a way to help people help themselves. Though music is still our passion, we can do so much more for people instead of selfishly making just our dreams come true! We all deserve to die in dignity, and to leave a legacy behind, so we want to help as many people do that as we can. When you die, you can't take anything with you, so what will you leave behind?
If you knew you couldn't fail at something, would you do it? What would that be? ~Dream On
