Young Homie (Steve Micheas-De L'Herbe) was born in San Mateo, California and pretty much raised in Chicago, Illinois for all his life. With increasing gang violence throughout Chicago, Young's family ended up moving up north to a NorthWest Suburb called Des Plaines. Young Homie has been hailing from D.P. Illinois since. Since he can remember Young, has always been drawn towards the music scene. Hip-Hop, Rap, Poetry, Pop, and R&B have been his favorites imitating his favorite rappers, and making remixes were a daily routine for Young Homie. Young, taught himself how to play the piano all by ear on his own by the time that he 9yrs old. His parents noticed his talents and gifts at a young age. So then they enrolled him in the school band where he picked a new instrument every year until he decided to try orchestral music in high school. Playing in the school Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Orchestra. Young became easily bored and then decided to try out for the school choir. Immediately after his audition, the head of the fine arts department came over and congratulated him as being the first male Hispanic to participate in all Fine Arts programs offered at Maine East High School located in Park Ridge, Illinois.
