About Me
Breaking out of the box with a style comparable to none other, Jeremiah Bonds takes rap music with force to break the monotony made in the music genre today. With an array of styles he portrays in each song, each verse, even each line, he pours out his heart to the floor, wears it on his sleeve and speaks what he truly feels.
Bonds grew up being on stage all of his life, from playing drums, piano, or the guitar to singing with the show choir he was in. He began to adopt the culture of hip hop in 2000 and began writing his own songs shortly after in 2001. Former rap trio Lojique (formerly of Syntax Records) consisted of Nickels, Page One, and Othello at the time. They held a big influence on him as artists and ideal men of God.
By listening to them, RedCloud, Sackcloth Fashion, and pretty much any other artist Syntax had on their roster, he was highly influenced in the art of lyricism and deep, thought provoking song making.
First breaking on the scene with his solo debut album called "Chemical Imbalance" under his former alias "Artofact" in 2006 and has been on a mission since then. Releasing a CD on End Of Earth records with his rap buddy Nomis. Together they are the Forgotten Heroes and they've released a CD entitled "Forget What You Heard" in 2007, to his unofficial release of his EP "No Response". Each CD shows a different style to Jeremiah Bonds, triggering a variety of thought to what this artist is really capable of...
He now works with Syntax Records behind the scenes, but also carries his music making on his shoulders. Jeremiah appears on more then 10 projects, such as Night Owls 3 (under the name Artofact[with Braille of Lightheaded and underground legend Illtripp]) and Night Owls 4 (with Soul P and legendary Texas native, Sivion of Deepspace 5) of the famous Night Owls Series. Getting spots on those albums really put him in the publics eye, gaining one of the top dowloaded songs on iTunes from Night Owls 3, to being a featured artist on Napster's radio show.
Jeremiah Bonds represents San Diego hip hop along with ManBlack, NomiS, Syntax Records, Gallery Drive and more. Performing at places like the Cox Arena in front of a collective 16 thousand, to doing open mics displaying his spoken word. He's shared the stage with Sackcloth Fashion, Braille (highly respected by the late James Brown),Listener of Deepspace 5, Future Shock, Absent Minded, Dirt, Man Of War, RedCloud, Luke Geraty, Othello and more.
