WILLET, the band, will be presenting THE VIRUS TOUR during 2008. Please take a few minutes to read about us,our purpose, and what we have to offer you, your students and the community.
Our Goal:
We want to challenge and educate students to use their unique gifts and talents to be positive influences for change within their communities. We are role models who can inspire new ideas and encourage students to be active, productive members of their own communities.
About Us
-Jeremy, Justin, and Jordan Willet, from Westminster, Maryland, attended FSK High School before beginning their musical career
-For the past 3 years, we have toured the United States, and Ethiopia, Africa, performing over 250 dates per year
-We are involved with child sponsorship in Africa, partnering with Food for the Hungry to sponsor over 500 children and raising over $350,000.00 for children living in poverty.
-In 2007 the band sponsored an entire poverty stricken village called Zeway in Ethopia.
-A film crew chronicled the bands firsthand experiences with the devastating poverty during a 10 day trip to Zeway, Ethopia
-The band has shared the Zeway story with many and are continuing to tour and share their positive uplifting message about making a difference in the lives of others.
What We Can Offer Your School Community:
Our tour allows us to present a daytime assembly to middle and high school students in Maryland, which will include:
A short rock concert of "positive," original songs from the band’s E.P.
A DVD presentation of the band’s trip to Africa
A brief message about the band’s desire to help children living in
poverty
An invitation to a concert held at the school the evening of the
daytime assembly
