Virginia Cleo Andrews, the best selling gothic novelist was born June 6th 1923 in Virginia. Her first novel "Flowers In The Attic", a controversial story, became an instant best seller in 1979. It's sequel remained on the New York Times bestsellers list for a record 19 weeks. One of the ghostwriter's books "Rain" has also been turned into a tele-movie.
