About Todd:
Started on the Eastside at the Rockin Ripe age of 14. Band names included; Iron Cross, FOXX, Fryday, Legend, Scarecrow, Misdemeanor, Steel & Hearts, Point Blank, CLASSX, Cornerstone, Between the Lines, and back to CLASSX again! A singing drummer until 1985. Moved to the front of the stage and have never returned to the drums. Moved to the Westside in 1987 where I met my favorite drummer; FLY-N-BRYAN, and the best wife a musician could hope for...Sweet Sweet Connie. I have not played with another drummer since. There hasn't been many bands in my past. Most have stayed together for many years. "CLASSX"....This Band started in my basement in North Olmsted in 1992. Prior to that, Bryan and I had an all out 80's band called Point Blank. This band played from 1987 until 1990. There were (2) years of no BAND TIME until 1992. I must say.....the 90's were very very difficult to get through! I'm so happy that the GRUNGE era has seemed to pass!
About Frank:
I started on guitar when I was 8, although I didn't start really playing until I was a teen and my older brother Mark bought me a Gibson SG. With older siblings, I was exposed to some of the greatest music of the 60's and 70's such as The Beatles, Hendrix, Grand Funk, Clapton, Zepplin, Santana, Bad Co, Robin Trower, Frank Marino and Jeff Beck to name a few. As a teen, I hooked up with my drummer friend Ralph and we had several versions of a band called Renegade. From there it went to 2nd Chance, Full Speed Ahead, Roadstar and some fill in work for other bands. My playing really developed during these years. In the later 80's, I played in Whiplash and Roxx where I met my wife Traci. Settled down to start a family in the 90's and reentered the music scene in 2004 with Plan B and ClassX which I've been a member since September 2004. Come check us out!
About Bryan:
It all started at 8 years old when my guitar teacher yelled at me for not practicing enough so I told him to %! off and started to bang on my moms pots and pans to any song I heard. My dad started to get hungry so he went out and bought me a drum set and him some ear plug's !!!!
In 1980 ( 15 years old ) my good buddy Al Tulk and I started a all original progressive hard rock band called "NORTIC WOLF"....We wrote about 25 songs in 7 years and played them any where we could and to anybody who would listen. Except of my dad he still had his ear plugs in !!!!!!!!!!!
1987 I met this long hair singer, he called himself "HOTROD TODD"
and he gave me my nick name "FLYN-BRYAN" and I been jamming in bands with him ever since. In 1987 my dad finally took his ear plugs out
(It must of been the singing )
I must say!!! The current line up of "CLASSX" is the best its ever been .
Come see us
About Doug:
I bought my first guitar at 13 and tried to teach myself all the Schenker leads. When I found some guys at school to jam with, the kid down thestreet was already a better player and we needed a bass player, so I made the switch and never looked back. Early influences were Thin Lizzy, UFO,Scorpions (w/Uli Roth) and Rush. Played around Cleveland in the 80's withall original hard rock bands Warmaster and Impact. Took a break for awhile to do the family guy thing, but now I'm back to kick some rockin'ass!
