About Me

Hey guys,
I'm gonna give you the short story of me and music.
I guess it all started with my grandfather, Eugene Johnson. He could play the guitar and fiddle, but his main instrument was the mandolin. Over the years, he was a member of multiple Bluegrass Gospel bands that traveled around, sharing the love of Christ with others through music.
On Thanksgiving Day of 2006, my grandfather passed away, but his legacy of music continues on.
I grew up around music. My dad would play piano, guitar, and bass for worship services on Sunday. At about age 8, I was really interested in playing the drums. So, reluctantly, I took 2 years of piano, which was my parent's set prerequisite for getting a drumset (now, I realize how important it was for me to take piano, and I could not thank my parents enough). Pretty soon I was catching on with the drums, and I started playing in church. Then, at some point I started to get interested in guitar, and so on with the mandolin.
I guess it wasn't until my grandfather's death that I really had a passion for writing songs. I don't know what exactly set it off, but something did.
I hope to eventually get most of my songs recorded (in my half bedroom/half studio), get signed to a good record label, and bring catchy songs to the music industry.
