About Me

I came up during the golden age of hip hop and neva forgot how real it was then. Classics were produced yearly and artist were true to themselves. Multiple forms of hip hop was everywhere and the art form flourished due to this fact. I loved hip hop so much and eventualy got into it after my pops heard me reciting a Public Enemy song one day and told me to write my own rhymes. I began writing in 88' at 13 and and by the time I was 15 i bumped into Clyentell who introduced me to this kid (kuzin Biff) that ran with the beatnuts. We formed a group in 1990 and was in the studio before 91' started. i started to learn about sampling and making trax from Biff and eventually got my own little set up in 93'. After C-luv joined the squad i began to make tracks for the group and put the mic down for a few. I still plan on doing it again but for now production is where i stand. Hip Hop has fallen so far from where it once was... i remember as a child in 84 i thought to myself, what will hip hop sound like in 2000... Dam!! No one could have guessed. All of the elements that made it appealing are gone, AND THE 1 COMPONENT THAT IT LACKS TODAY ARE TRUE ARTIST WITH LOVE FOR THE CREATIVE PROCESS OF THE ART, the driving force that bought about the golden age in the first place. I know that there is a sense of urgency thruout the hip-hop world regarding hip hop's destination and what can happen if it isn't turned around. Many would suggest that hip hop is going thru the disco/Glam rock stage which is a point of over saturation to obtain every dollar possible before it's left to die somewhere. That future can b averted if the creators of this art form were to take it back to its roots and create a new start point for future artist who will keep it alive... its what i would like to see but one can dream... So i landeded the talib Album which is cool and and it drops in april. (Ear Drum, ya'll check fo' that aight!!) i'm just greatful he felt my shit, now i look to the future of what may be the start of something nice, something that i love and maybe even something i can help steer back into its proper direction... I don't know but time will tell. Keep ya fingers crossed yall... 1!I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
