Giorgio Lanzani Music Poems Paintings and Photo

I was born in Milan on December 23rd, 1948, where I lived, wrote music and drew until 1972. I then moved to Venice where I wrote my first collection of poems, IL MATTO E LA LUNA (The Fool and The Moon), issued as a black box of poems and photographs. In 1982 I recorded a collection of songs, UN SOGNO IN MEZZO AL MARE (A Dream in the Middle of the Sea), a rock blues record played by the Banda Lanzani, a rock band which never existed, produced by an imaginary recording company: Vecchio Scarpone (Old Boot).In 1984 I created my second collection of poems, conceived as a white box: STRADE PARALLELE (Parallel Roads).In April 85 I finished recording my second collection of songs, VOR IHREM GEBURTSTAG (Birthday's Eve). I composed the music and Daniela De Meo wrote the lyrics. The name of the imaginary band was Parsifal.I published my third collection of poems AMORE COSMICO (Cosmic Love) in 1986, a silver box which I presented on the occasion of my first multimedia exhibition in Venice, at the Scoleta of the Church of San Zaccaria in August of that year. The title of the exhibition of poems, music, photographs and drawings was SENZA RADICI (Rootless).I wrote my most recent collection of poems in 1989: a gold box entitled IL SANTO E L'EROE (The Saint and the Hero).In December 1996 I presented my first work of sacred music: a Ave Maria sung by the choir of Travo under the direction of Andrea Zermani in the church of Travo (Piacenza).A PATER NOSTER for a polyphonic choir and a STABAT MATER for voice and string orchestra were presented, in the church of S. Maria Ausiliatrice in Jesolo, at Easter 1999, along with the Latin version of the Ave Maria and a VENI CREATOR SPIRITUS for voice and organ.Always in Jesolo I wrote a story titled THE SYNDROME OF THE SWALLOW (Translation of Mattew Mc Parland), a project for a film with my music like resonant column.In the summer of 2002 I have written some stories for children, UNCLE’S GEORGE STORIES from that was created a book in the month of December 2005.In the month of November of 2003 I have finished to compose a CONCERT CONCERTO PER PIANOFORTE E ORCHESTRA .From the January 2004 until the month of July 2006 I have working to the mine first lyric work: HAMLET a reduction of mine in English of the shakespearian text.Finally an ANTIGONE that I have just finished and that is composed on the complete translation of the text of Sophocles of the professor Ian Johnston. ================================================My creative works, also painting, writing, photo etc. are on line in my web site www.lanzani.com, and that of my friends in the site www.free-art.org============================================ ProfileNOTIZIE SU GIORGIO LANZANI English versionSono nato a Milano e ho vissuto in questa città fino al 1972 lavorando nel campo della musica e del disegno.In seguito mi sono trasferito a Venezia, dove nel '79 ho prodotto la mia prima raccolta di poesie, IL MATTO E LA LUNA, una scatola nera reale contenente poesie e fotografie.Nell' 82 ho registrato una raccolta di canzoni: UN SOGNO IN MEZZO AL MARE, un album rock blues suonato dalla Banda Lanzani, una rock band mai esistita, prodotto da una casa discografica immaginaria: la Vecchio scarpone.Era l'84 quando ho creato la seconda raccolta di poesie, una scatola bianca: STRADE PARALLELE.1985 Aprile: ho finito di registrare la mia seconda raccolta di canzoni, VOR IHREM GEBURSTAG (Il giorno prima del compleanno) con testi di Daniela De Meo. Il nome di questa banda immaginaria era Parsifal.Nell'86 ho pubblicato la mia terza raccolta di poesie chiamata AMORE COSMICO, una scatola color argento che ho presentato in occasione della mia prima mostra multimediale a Venezia nella Scoleta della Chiesa di S. Zacaria nel mese di agosto: poesie, musica, fotografie e disegni da me realizzati a partire dal 1966, intitolata SENZA RADICI.Nel mese di dicembre 1989 ho realizzato la mia ultima raccolta di poesie: una scatola d'oro, intitolata IL SANTO E L'EROE.Nel mese di dicembre 1996 presentato nella Chiesa di Travo (Piacenza) la mia prima composizione di musica sacra: un'AVE MARIA per coro polifonico.Un PATER NOSTER per coro polifonico e uno STABAT MATER per voce e orchestra d'archi, sono stati presentati a Pasqua del 1999 nella Chiesa di S. Maria Ausiliatrice di Jesolo, assieme alla versione latina dell'AVE MARIA e ad un VENI CREATOR SPIRITUS per voce ed organo.Sempre a Jesolo ho scritto un racconto intitolato LA SINDROME DELLA RONDINE, progetto per un film con la mia musica come colonna sonora.Nell’estate del 2002 ho scritto dei racconti per bambini, I I RACCONTI DELLO ZIO GIORGIO da cui è stato tratto un libro nel mese di dicembre 2005.Nel mese di novembre del 2003 ho terminato di comporre un CONCERTO PER PIANOFORTE E ORCHESTRA.A partire dal gennaio 2004 fino al mese di luglio 2006 ho lavorato alla mia prima opera lirica: HAMLET, una mia riduzione in inglese del testo shakespeariano.Infine un’ ANTIGONE che ho appena terminato e che è costruita sulla traduzione integrale del testo di Sofocle in inglese del professor Ian Johnston.
