Interesting Fact: The Ford Pinto was unveiled in 1971 as healthy competition for the foreign and domestic subcompacts of that time. Starting as only a two door sedan, the standard luxuries included: high-back bucket seats with all vinyl upholstery, interior dome light, floor-mounted transmission controls, rack & pinion steering, and a standard 1600cc inline four cylinder beast under the hood.
