Here's is a lovely plug from Iain Anderson who opened the show on the Friday night, jogged I'm sure by the text from Gordon MacLean who plays in the Sorren MacLean Band who headlined the opening night. Also included are a couple of photos from the Open Mic/Open Draw event, and there's more from the whole 2 events under 'Pics'.

...Gordon MacLean is saying 'Thanks for playing songs off Michael Marra's new ep - as well as playing double bass in Michael's new band I also play in the Sorren MacLean Band,
who are performing at the opening of Jenny Soep's exhibition at Resipole Studios, Ardnamurchan...in that beautiful territory... if you go anywhere playing music from the exhibition I'm sure you can find a 3 song cd by the Sorren MacLean band - will have to get a hold of that - a fantastic visit to the Resipole Studios out in the Ardnamurchan and Jenny Soep who does 'Drawings of the Experience' who does mainly musicians - we're about to hear the Proclaimers who she does, James Yorkston and all sorts of others (who)were decorating the walls, My (Latest) Novel, Michael Marra, Seasick Steve...all sorts of people, Anyway I have to say also Thanks to all the people - Mama, that's Maria Soep, Champion Porridge Maker - in these Islands anyway, and champion canape maker, also along with sister and family - anyway we had a great time, all be it too short...so we said we'd play a couple of tracks of the artists (she'd) painted, beginning with the Proclaimers and then (James) Yorkston...
