San Rydge Music is pleased to announce the latest release from Jerry and Tammy Sullivan, Live From The Place of Hope.Produced by longtime friend Marty Stuart and executive producers McCoury Music, this cd marks a one of it’s kind for Jerry and Tammy. From performing on the Grand Ole Opry to touring in Ireland the Sullivan’s chose a different kind of place for this setting. They went to the chapel of The Place of Hope in Columbia, TN which is a place for recovering addicts. As Tammy puts it, There’s a song my Dad wrote especially for the Place of Hope called The Shadow of the Steeple and it pretty much tells the story of why we are here. Marty Stuart once asked me what did I see for the future of our music and I told him I wanted to reach out to people that new a little bit about heartbreak and sadness, people that didn’t feel welcome in churches I wanted to reach out to them and bring them in and sing them the truth and I feel like that’s what we are getting to do here. With the introduction by Brother Mike Coupe the cd features songs by Jerry and Tammy as well as their band members Jonathan Causey on mandolin and guitar, and Chad Maharrey on banjo. Jason Carter is playing fiddle and Marty Stuart makes a guest appearance on mandolin and guitar. It’s filled with songs written by Jerry and Marty Stuart, and Joel Hemphill. Some standouts are Fingerprints of God, I Believe, Heaven Bound, and The Shadow of the Steeple. This Cd is meant to send a message of Hope and inclusion for everyone.
