Wooly Mamas

About Me

Wooly Mamas are a three piece rock group formed in 2001 in Manassas, Virginia. After playing over 600 shows around the east coast under the name "Alowishious Farhatt," the band relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in early 2008 and traded their ridiculous band name that no one could spell for a slightly less ridiculous name that a few people can spell.

The group plays music that has been described as "a mixture of classic and grunge rock with subtle Beatles influence."

Wooly Mamas are now recording new songs for their second album titled "Breakfast." A few songs are finished and can be previewed here on MySpace. You can currently come out and see the band live in the Nashville area.

We are returning to our hometown of Manassas, VA on May 2nd to play Okra's 2nd Annual Jazz Festival. Come on out and party with us. We've been missing our Virginian friends!

Yes friends, we are now the Wooly Mamas. We have starting gigging in Nashville and things are going extremely well so far. To those of you who were always faithful to Alowishious Farhatt, we thank you...
