ajt is Andrew Taylor's electronica branch.
Old gear, possibilty and life are things that inspire me. I have a liking for simple equipment, basic samplers, eight tracks and 1970's analogue synth sounds.
I first learnt guitar playing along to Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, any other instruments you might hear on my compositions I've just hit at until they've made an agreeable grunt.
I've always been deeply interested in making music for films. If any of the film makers on myspace are in need of some original music let me know. I have a back catalogue of music but also get excited about making music for specific projects.
I've just finished work on my brashest set of electro tunes so far! I'm wearing my influences on my sleeve a little with this one and I've really enjoyed messing with old synths like the Solina String Ensemble and Roland SH 2000. Now that I've finished I'll be playing nothing but guitars, mandolins and penny whistles for a while!
Some of the other bands I play with are 'The Challenge of Feral Green', 'the24thofjune' and 'Andrew Taylor' (not a band, just me!). If you wanna hear more; follow the links.
