..DANIELE LAZZARI was born in Italy in 1972. He started playing classical guitar at the age of 14. Soon he fell in love with the instrument and the music, winning prizes in international musical competitions in Padova, Salerno, Lecce, Rionero, Ancona, Taranto and Roma. He devotes himself to classical music performing with great success in Italy, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, South Korea. In 2002 he graduated in Classical Guitar at the “Gesualdo da Venosa†State Conservatory. From 2004, thanks to a scholarschip of the European Union, he lived in Venice for three years, studying at the “Benedetto Marcello†State Academy with Giuseppe Pepicelli and obtained, with full marks, the new Master Degree in Classical Guitar (as first guitarist in Italy). In this period he also wrote a thesis about the aesthetics of the guitar music of the mexican composer Manuel Ponce. In 2006 he moved in Budapest, Hungary and has been taking part in the musical life of that Country. His first CD (2007) – SAMBOSSA – a tribute to the modern south-american music for guitar and flute won flattering reviews both by the critics and by the audience. During the years he taught Classical Guitar in Music Schools and Academies in Potenza, Padova, Treviso, Venice, Budapest and attended perfection courses with outstandig artists such as Carlo Marchione, Arturo Tallini, Giuseppe Pepicelli, Michelangelo Severi, Giampaolo Bandini (Italy), Szilvagyi Sandor (Hungary), Thomas Muller-Pering (Germany), Alberto Ponce (Spain) and Sharon Isbin (USA). From 2008 he is a recognized Guitar Teacher and Performing Artist by the Hungarian State also. Actually he is Professor of Guitar at the “Zoltan Kodaly†and at the “Erna Czovek†State Music Schools in Budapest. The last CD of his (2008) – CLASSICAL GUITAR JEWELS – a solo work recorded at the Jeno Hubay Concert Hall in Budapest, contains masterpieces by Ponce, Villa-Lobos, Barrios and Torroba. Daniele plays an Alma Guitar – Master Double Top – made by Kim Hee Hong (Seoul, 2007).
