About Me

I can't imagine a world without bass. Any music, be it classic rock or Drum'n'Bass or hip-hop, needs to have that deep, rumbling element. When really good music catches my attention, the first reaction I get is this tingling sensation down my arms and legs and neck. It flows through me, raising my hairs and drawing me in, begging me to shut my eyes and drift elsewhere. Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! The beat immediately takes control of my entire body. Like a mindless zombie, my head moves in unison to the tempo as I shut my eyes. My mind soars, flying limitlessly, out of reach from it's ties to humanity; beyond the grasp of Time and Space, I float through a whole new world. Sometimes I wish I could escape forever, but I know that would be impossible. Still, it is relaxing and calming to take a break from my reality and send my mind on an electronic journey; a cheap substitute, in a sense. Techno is a drug, a substance I use to wind down and ease my thoughts and feelings, a substance I use to induce happiness into my life. I love most any music, but this music is the only type that has this specific affect on my body and mind.

I'm down with a little Gangster Rap from time to time.I am also into a lot of different styles of Drum 'n' Bass/Electronica/Turntablism, some of which being Trance, Psychedelic Trance, Breakcore, Breakbeat, NRG, Progressive, Funkcore, Psyfunk, Hardcore, Hardstyle, Hard House, blah blah, blah blah, blah blah. I could probably write 10 or 20 more genres and subgenres down, but I'm lazy. Most importantly, Psytrance and any good drum'n'bass.

Movies:

I like watching movies and, at the end, thinking, "That movie was a great movie." There is no specific genre I prefer to watch. I do especially enjoy watching older films. It is very interesting to be able to see how the culture we live in now has changed, and how it was maybe 50 or 60 years ago.

Television:

Every time I watch basic Television I feel as if I'm being drawn in against my own will. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if there was mass-media brainwashing going on every day.

Books:

Meh. I should go find a book to read right now.

Heroes:

Mr. Tim Lamb is my hero. Protoman is cool too. So is whoever invented Dexidrine; you bastard.
