My partner and I love to entertain, cook, garden, and go watch our son race on Saturday nights.
I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet other couples in the Austin area either with or without kids that enjoy fixing up their home, good food, gardening, music, real mexican tequila (Cabrito, YUM!), and good company.
Not For The Teenie Boppers:
Life
If you could change one thing about your past, without it changing every other aspect of your life, what would it be? I would have finished college. so close yet so far
Are you happy with where you are in life, at this time? For the most part I am, currently there's a lot of drama, but it just happens to be things out of my control so I coping is the hardest part.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, without cost being a deciding factor, where would you go? I would love to go to Italy for the museums, food, and architecture
Do you get along better with the same sex, or the opposite sex? As a lesbian, I get along better with men. Women are too complicated, even as friends.
Are you the type of person who prefers one or two close friends, or lots of acquaintances? I like having a few close friends in general, but sometimes I like the idea of being popular and having lots of friends.
Are you still friends with anyone you went to school with? I'm still firiends with people I went to elementary and high school with. We will always be connected regardless of distance or age.
Are you a home body, or a social butterfly? I try to be a social butterfly, however, I tend to be more of a homebody. It's an issue of inner turmoil wanting to break free from habit.
What do you enjoy doing on the weekends? I like meeting up with friends or doing home-improvement work. But usally I just clean house.
If you and one friend were asked to be on a reality TV show, who would you take with you? No doubt, I'd have to bring Sandi with me... She's my best friend and my partner.
Beer, wine or liquor? Do I HAVE to chose? I like all three very much.
Love
What is your relationship status? I am practically married to my partner, Sandi. I wish we could be married, but until the laws change in this country, we'll just have to stay as we are.
Are you happy with your current relationship (or lack thereof)? Sandi is the most loving and caring person I've ever met. We love spending time together, I just need to get her out of the house more often. lol
What is your idea of a perfect date? lots of laughs, great wine or martinis, and a wonderful meal
What's your idea of the perfect romantic getaway? anywhere we can't use cell phones
If you could have a date with any celebrity, who would it be and what would you do? I think Gwen Stefani is soooo hot. but I think I'd have more fun on a date with Ellen Degeneres because she would make me laugh
Do you think you can love someone, without trusting them? I could, but why would I want to do that? It's not fun being in a reationship with someone you can't trust. It's like being on a diet but your job is in a restaurant. Pure Torture, my friend.
Do you believe it is possible to be in love with someone you've never actually spent time with? Hmmm... I think so. But to truly be in love with someone, you need to see them as they live day to day. Anyone can talk BS but the truthcomes out in person.
Do you believe in soul mates? I believe in Soul Food
If you do believe in soul mates, have you found yours? Yes
Which is more intimate, in your opinion... Cuddling or Intercourse? Having to put medicine on someone's hemerrhoid is WAY MORE intimate.
If your partner was unable to have sex due to illness or injury, would you stay with them? It would be tough, but if you truly love that person then you would do anything necessary. Just watch a lot of porn together.
Career
Are you happy with your current career/job? A job is a job is a job.
If not, what would you rather be doing? I'd like to be independently wealhty and travel
Which is more important, your career, or your family (assuming you are married with children)? I need both equally.
If you answered family to the above question, would your family agree that they are most important? Hard to say... the kids are very independent as they were raised to be, but they know we are very involved in their hobbies.
How many hours a week do you work, on average? 40-45 hours per week
Did you choose your current career path for money or enjoyment? I chose it out of necessity, it just happened to work out this way
If you could have ANY job, what would your top three career choices be? I would love to be a food critic, a musician, or a comedy writer
What's your biggest strength, when it comes to your job? I need very little supervision
Your biggest weakness, or flaw? I don't like telling people what to do
Do you take pride in your work, or just hurry through it as quickly as you can? I like doingthings right, so I am particular about my quality of work.

Music:
I listen to all kinds of rock music and some latino, some hip hop, etc, but my real loves is rock. David Bowie, Incubus,Third Eye Blind, Stevie Ray Vaughn, AC/DC, Interpol, Ozomatli, Queen, Van Morrison, The Ramones, just to name a few. One of my all time favorites is Rage Against the Machine. I do like a lot of heavy metal when I'm in the mood. I used to play guitar a lot, but lately I just don't have the time. I have an Epiphone SG-300 Les Paul special edition, a 1980 Ibandez Destroyer, a Dean acoustic-electric, and an Ibanez Roadstar II. I think I like collecting them more than playing them, but every once in a while when no one is home I'll pick one up and play it loud. That's my little secret...shh
Movies:
I like quirky, funny films, Indies both foreign and American. I especially like Pedro Almodovar films, Lord of the Rings, Napoleon Dynamite, Office Space, Saved!, any most gay-related films, although most are too cheesy but made to be taken seriously. PUHLEEZE!
Television:
Sandi and I are hooked on HBO series. Right now it's Big Love, but Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, plus I love my HGTV. It's so gay, I love it.
You Are the Very Gay Bert and Ernie!
Two grown puppets living together, sleeping in the same room?
They've even got coordinating striped shirts!
What Gay Childhood Icon Are You?
Books:
I'm not much of a book reader,it's more Sandi's thing.
Heroes:
My Heroes tend to be social rights activists and fighters regardless of who they are. I admire anyone who stands up to the powers that be for equal rights to all beings on this planet
