Suade, a hip-hop artist from Fresno, Ca, began rapping at the age of 17 as a junior in high school. The ability to compose rhymes came very easily to him because of his love for poetry and the English language growing up. Over the years he has grown in all aspects of hip-hop. He started by writing rhymes, then he took on the challenge of producing his own beats. What stands out most about him is his win-loss record in freestyle battles. Currently he is 14-0.
He has also matured by watching others make mistakes. Trying not to attract the wrong attention, Suade constantly reminds listeners that he is not involved with the street life but recognizes it’s power. “I can’t ignore what’s going on around me,†says Suade, “so I can’t rap about having fun all the time when there’s real s*** going down in these streets.â€
Snoop Dogg, Keak Da Sneak, Too Short, Mac Dre, Zapp and Naughty by Nature are just a few of the artist that Suade has opened shows for in his 6 year career. He has done many shows in his hometown of Fresno, Ca-but recently began expanding his wings in 2005, opening up for Brenton Wood in Monterey, Ca.
