I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hello, I am Dona, a young in spirit 58 year old. I am a typical American. My dad a Native American (Mingo tribe) and my mom a Russian/Jew/Gypsy...an interesting mix of cultures. I think I have attended almost every church possible as my mom wanted me to learn about different beliefs. My desire is to attend a Mosque and Hindu temple before I'm gone. Out of this I have decided the only religion I can truly follow is to do what you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, hence my Wiccan beliefs. I have had an interesting life, married twice, 3 kids who are basically my world, my footprint on this earth. I've always done public service because I believe in a "pay to play" society. I have worked in special education, been a Lieutenant on a Municipal fire department as a paramedic/firefighter, and I now do social work, helping seniors and people in exteme poverty. Hence, I have never been rich nor do I care to be. I am left of liberal. I believe in social justice, free speech, diversity and equality. I was raised in a single parent home in a time when it was not the norm. My mother taught my brother and I a love and appreciation of nature, tolerance, acceptance, love, empathy and social responsibility all while working to keep food on the table. She is my hero. I am free-thinking & free-spirited. In my life I have had some of the most remarkable friends, some old, some new. Some have defended and supported me in my darkest hours, you know who you are, Tim?, Bill? Friends that have been so easy to talk to, to confide in and so much fun to be with... Angelic? Tess? And one particular friend that has been a constant in my life, at times keeping me grounded and teaching me some incredible things about nature (does anyone else in the world know the difference between bear and wolf shit besides Mike?) and I love him for this friendship more than I could ever say. I am here to meet new people and develop new friendships, so I say, Welcome, Peace, Namaste' and Shalom....
