Brad Roberts

About Me

..
Brad's career and goals include becoming studio/touring drummer, teaching, writing & building a custom drum company.Brad Roberts is a percussionist from Butler, AL who has worked with many diverse acts covering Blue's, Rock, Country, Southern Gospel, & R&B. Very rarely does he mention of his life time of musical achievment as a professional drummer. It all started on the back of 45 foot Silver Eagle bus on October of 1980 when his parents, Steve and Susin Roberts gave birth unexpectedly to a son, Stephen Bradley, rolling into Meridian Mississippi on highway 45. Since conception, Brad has been involved in every aspect of the so called "Music Business". Brad spent a majority of his time riding a bus for the first 13 years of his life. His career as a drummer began at the age of 3. His career as a professional drummer began at the age of 7. Brad is definitely the artistic type that is pursuing a professional career as a drummer, regardless of any particular style preference. Brad's drumming style has been shaped by professional touring, recording or just filling in as a substitute. Some artist Brad has been seen on stage or in the studio with artist such as: Jeff & Sherri Easter, The Discples Quartet, Oneway Quartet, Dixie Twister, Sure Shot, Sandie Brooks, Sublethal, Moneyshot, Afroman, Justin Grant, Joe Nichols, Trent Thomlson, John Micheal Montgomery, Julia Burton, Marty Brown, Coby Greer, Lee Ferell, Dustin Wilkes, John Warren, Adam Fears, TJ Scarlett, Brad Wolf, Angela Hurt, The Simmons Brothers, Brian Odell, Lonesome Road, Tyler Farr, Joe Nichol's, Julia Burton, Kid Rock, Billy Currington, & Matt Mason. Brad has a compositional mind that looks at the total musical picture. He is extremely rythmic and very accurate with his breaks, as well as dynamics. He can get powerfull, yet remain sensitive & tasteful. Drummer's of Brad's caliber don't ask a lot of question's. However, if questions arises, he will disucss a resolution. Artist like Brad play well, and most time nothing has to be said, it just happens naturally! Blending eclectic sensibility with deep groove, Brad allows the band to expand creative freedom. The solidity & expressive nature of his pocket has allowed his growth as a popular drummer to many artists. Brad's career and goals include becoming studio/touring drummer, teaching, writing & building a custom drum company. Currently Brad is teaching drum lessons privately and also at a popular music store in Fayetteville Arkansas. Most of the time he can be seen about town 4 to 5 nights a week with a party band called the "Homewreckers". However, you may just see him pop up with anybody that may be playing a gig at the time. He can be seen with local pop/country artist, Meagan White. Just because he is young does not disqualify him from knowing how it is in the "Real" music business. Take some time and ask him questions and get a honest opinion formulated by years of experience as a Pro Drummer.
Brad Roberts is a free lance drummer that has many professional credits to his name. His goal is to provide "ROCK SOLID" groves behind different "ARTIST" in country music.
